Mr. Bhatia is an Indian Administrative Service officer of 1985 batch who has served at various levels of the state and central governments in India. Prior to assuming the post of Upa-Lokayukta, mr. Bhatia was the Chairman of Mumbai Port Trust, Vice Chaiman and Managing Director of CIDCO where he was the pioneer in planning the development of New Towns, Airport and Metro in Navi Mumbai. He has also served as Commissioner, Sales Tax, Managing Director of Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Co, Director, Heavy Industries, Central Government, Collector, Gadchiroli, & CEO, ZP, Solapur.
